The HIPPA Medical Authorization Is An Important Document That Allows Designation of People That Can Have Access to Medical Information in the Event of a Hospital Stay or Incapacity by Austin Texas Probate Lawyer Jason S. Coomer

The HIPPA Medical Authorization is a useful document in that it allows a person to designate who is entitled to receive medical information about them. When going into a hospital it is often important to have someone that can look out after you, while you are in the hospital undergoing treatment and this person will need a HIPPA Medical Authorization and sometimes a Medical Power of Attorney to be able to effectively communicate with the hospital staff. HIPPA Medical Authorizations are commonly available and can be filled out fairly quickly, but need to be filled out prior to a person losing capacity.
